COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Since Covid-19, the surgery is sending prescriptions to pharmacies via a secure email service, or posting prescriptions to patients’ home addresses. Please phone the practice at 01 4730893 to discuss your prescription.

How to request prescriptions:

  1. An appointment should be made with the GP or nurse for new and repeat prescriptions. At each visit, the doctor or nurse will give you the longest prescription possible based on your medical needs. You will then need to be reviewed before the next prescription can be issued.
  1. In exceptional circumstances, if you are requesting a repeat prescription over the phone or via the website without wanting to be seen, at least 3-5 working days are required. If the doctor or nurse cannot issue the medication without a medical review, you will be contacted.

To prevent patients running out of medication, we suggest that patients contact the practice when they have at least one week left of tablets to arrange an appointment for a prescription.

Text results

We provide our results via text service.

Patients who are deemed to have satisfactory test results will receive a text from the surgery. If your test warrants any further action, you will be contacted by a member of our team.

Please note, we still ask, that if a patient has had no contact 14 days after expected results, that they contact the surgery.
