COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Please phone us at 01 4730893. Our reception staff will log a message for a doctor to call you back. The doctor will speak with you by phone, and can arrange for you to attend the practice if necessary.

GP consultations are by appointment only. There is no walk-in service.

Please bear in mind that our phone lines are very busy at this time, so if you cannot get through, please try again. Please call 999 for an emergency.

APPPOINTMENTS

We may ask the nature of the appointment so as to facilitate appropriate appointment times.

Attendance is by appointment only.   Please telephone to arrange your consultation.  For routine visits we usually require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, however during busy times, routine appointments may not be available for 4-5 days. Appointments are scheduled to be 10 minutes in duration. If you think you will require extra time we would appreciate if you could let reception know at the time of booking. We will do our best to facilitate you.

Emergencies (during normal hours)

Not all visits to the doctor can be planned in advance.  We reserve a small number of appointments every day for medical emergencies. Please inform our reception staff if you feel you need an urgent appointment, and we will do our best to facilitate this.

Cancellations

Please call well in advance if you need to cancel your appointment.  We can reschedule to a time that is convenient for you, and use your appointment slot for someone who may need it.

Non Attendance of appointments/Lateness

Please note that if you are unreasonably late for your appointment time, you may not be seen, and may have to make another appointment.  If you miss your appointment entirely and fail to let us know, the next available appointment may be some time away, and you may not get to see a doctor when needed.  Please stay in touch with us if you are running late and we will do our best to accomodate this.

Out of Hours

We are a member of Dubdoc, the out of hours service which is situated in St James’s Hospital and staffed by local GP’s.  Please telephone Dubdoc (Tel 01 454 5607) if you need to see a doctor outside of surgery times. Charges may apply for these services.

House Calls

If you are too ill to visit the surgery and you require a home visit, please contact the surgery, phone 01 4730893 before 10am, if possible.  A doctor will speak to you in relation to the request.
